Drive with us

Two honest ways to drive with us.

Join Everett Shuttle as a W-2 employee chauffeur, or bring your own vehicle as an independent owner-operator. Either way, you're driving for a local company that's been moving Snohomish County since 1998 — and you'll always know exactly which relationship you're in.

Choose your path

Employee or owner-operator — clearly stated.

These are two genuinely different relationships. Here's exactly what each one means, side by side, so you can pick the one that fits your life.

Track A · W-2 Employee

Employee Chauffeur

Best if you want to drive without owning a commercial vehicle or running a business.

  • We provide the vehicle — company-maintained, fueled, insured, and serviced.
  • You're on payroll — W-2 wages with taxes, Social Security, and Medicare handled.
  • Set, scheduled shifts planned by our 24/7 dispatch.
  • Training provided on our systems, routes, and service standards.
  • Covered as an employee — workers' comp and W-2 protections.
  • Pay: $21–$25/hr depending on vehicle class, plus customer tips paid out weekly.
Classification: W-2 employee. Everett Shuttle directs schedules and provides the vehicle.
Track B · Independent

Owner-Operator

Best if you own a qualifying vehicle and want to run your own driving business.

  • You provide the vehicle — your car, your fuel, your maintenance and upkeep.
  • You run your own business — responsible for your own taxes and expenses (1099).
  • You set your own availability and accept the trips you want.
  • You carry your own coverage — commercial insurance and proper registration.
  • Steady dispatched trips from an established local brand when you're available.
  • Earnings: 78% of booked fare per completed trip, paid every Friday via direct deposit.
Classification: Independent contractor. You control your schedule, vehicle, and business.
Not sure which fits? Apply below and tell us — we'll walk you through it. If you own a larger vehicle or run a small fleet, the Become a Partner network is likely the better door.

Questions

Chauffeur FAQ

Are chauffeurs employees or independent contractors?

Both — as two separate tracks. Employee chauffeurs are W-2 employees who drive our company vehicles on payroll. Owner-operators are independent contractors who drive their own qualifying vehicle, run their own business, and set their own availability. You choose which fits you.

Do I need my own vehicle?

Only for the owner-operator path. The W-2 employee path uses company-maintained vehicles — you just bring yourself and your license.

Do I need a CDL?

Most roles require a valid driver's license in good standing and a clean record rather than a CDL. For larger vehicles, we work through UTC-registered operators to ensure full regulatory compliance.

I own a larger vehicle or small fleet — which page is for me?

Head to Become a Partner. That's our network for owner-operators with larger vehicles, small fleets, and other transportation companies.
